Themes have changed from being stand-alone files to being integrated into bundles. There are some included in TextMate and several more available in the bundle pane of Preferences, you can click the word Theme in the top bar to only show the themes.
To convert an old theme to the bundle format you can perform the following steps:
- Create a new empty bundle in TextMate by going to the bundle editor and hitting ⌘N.
- Give it the name of the theme, and give it a description by clicking on the bundle itself.
- Go to: /Users/<yourname>/Library/Application Support/Avian/Bundles/ And open your bundle by right-clicking to show package contents. (On Lion you can access the Library folder by holding option when clicking on the Go menu in Finder.)
- Add a `Themes` directory and drag you theme(s) into it.
Thanks to Michael Sheets for this tip. I’ve found that most bundles for the alpha live in /Users/<yourname>/Library/Application Support/Textmate/Managed/Bundles/, but when you create one with this method, it will appear at the file location described above. it won’t be available to select in the Preferences menu, but it will show up under the View > Themes menu item.
